Cute Outfits And New Purchases.

Cute Outfits And New Purchases.

Hello my loves, I hope you’re having a fabulous July so far! This month I finally got my last few assignments signed off for my level 4 in digital marketing which I’ve been looking forward to for what feels like the longest time. And now that my college work is all finished, I’ve got something new to look forward to – a trip away at the beginning of August! So, to prep for my little trip away next month I started having a think about all of the cute outfits I could bring along with me; which brings me to today post, some of my current favourite outfits and new purchases!

Over the last year and a half I’ve expanded my wardrobe and style so so much and that’s because I finally found the most essential item you need in your wardrobe..

CONFIDENCE!!

It sounds cheesy I know, but it’s true, having confidence and feeling great makes anything look good. Just over a year ago I was so self-conscious about how I looked and continually put my body down, and since then I’ve been on a huge self-love journey and I’m happy to say that 9 days out of 10 I have a good body love day, and on the day that I’m not feeling as great about my body as usual, I still accept my body and thank it for what it does for me.

So, now that you know that confidence is the best item in your wardrobe, here’s some cute outfits that I love to wear that I wouldn’t dream of wearing before! A lot of my favourite crop tops are from Shein because your girl is on a budget, but I’ve also got some really cute trousers and other pieces from sustainable brands like Lucy and Yak.

(Just an FYI – I’m not sponsored by any of the brands mentioned in this post but I’ve included the links to each item so you can find them easily if you wanted to get yourself any of the pieces below!)

First up we’ve got some super cute crop tops from Shein. The first four pictured are a similar shape which I found comfy and surprisingly supportive for bigger chested people (I’m an E cup for reference in case you’re wanting to pick any of these tops up) and then the two gingham tops are backless – strappy back tops which are very supportive because you can adjust the straps as you wish.

Next up we’ve got some more crop tops from Shein and two from Pretty Little Thing, the first four are Shein and the last two are Pretty Little Thing. The Shein ones are just super comfy and crop tops paired with comfy high waisted jeans and trousers are now an everyday go-to for me, and the other two are super cute for dressing up or down. I especially love the blue and white corset top because it looks so nice tucked into my jeans and gives you a really nice shape whilst still being super comfy to wear so it’s great for going out to drinks and dinner because it’s still comfy after you’ve eaten!

You know when you love a print so much that you want everything in it? Yeah, that’s how I felt when I saw this green spongebob-esk print so naturally I got it in 3 different tops! Each one is so cute and makes me feel fab everytime I wear them. (These are also Shein!).

Onto dresses! If you know me well, you know I’m not really a dress kind of gal, mainly because I always feel like I’m going to flash everyone and I struggle to find ones that I like on me due to being petite (length is usually an issue), but after buying these on a whim to continue getting out of my comfort zone I found that the different shapes and lengths these dresses are look great on! The first two are Shein and the last one is Pretty Little Thing. My personal favourite out of these three is the second one because it’s extremely supportive for big chests and is fitted in all the right places, oh and it’s lined!!

Next up we’ve got my collection of gorgeous trousers and dungarees from Lucy and Yak! They are one of my all time favourite clothing brands because not only do all their clothes fit and feel super comfortable, they’re also a smaller business who are all about sustainable clothing! And do I even need to mention how beautiful their prints are?!? And also if you were wondering, the blue mom jeans featured in my other outfits are also from Lucy and Yak and they are the comfiest best fitting jeans I’ve every bought – they’re actually high waisted rather than high rise so they sit at just the right place. The clothes are a bit pricier than other brands but 1000% worth it in my mind!

Finally we’ve got some cycle shorts and tee’s combos! I always though I couldn’t pull off the cute bike shorts and tee combos, but after debating it I bought some and now I’ve managed to gather a collection of around 8 pairs of cute patterned/coloured shorts with tee’s that look really cute with them (they’re currently in the wash but I’ve got a blue gingham pair, lilac gingham pair, black and white checked pair, pink pair, two black pairs and the two shown below). My personal favourite of these is the green gingham outfit because it’s just so cute! All of my cycle short outfits make me feel so badass and as a bonus they’re incredibly comfy!! Plus these are perfect for these really hot days where you just want to be comfy. And plus plus, you don’t get chub rub with cycle shorts!! (The Bambi tee is H&M, the green gingham shorts and cherry shorts are Asos and the Coca Cola tee is Primark!).

And that’s all of my cute outfits that I’ve got to show you for today! Maybe in a future post I’ll give you a rundown of all the cute outfits I decide to take with me on my upcoming trip away so you can see how I plan on packing for a week away in the UK during Summer (I’m pretty much 100% sure I’ll be over-packing so it’ll be interesting to see if I can keep my packing light!).

What’s your favourite piece or outfit from today’s post? Let me know in the comments below!

And remember, it doesn’t really matter what you’re wearing as long as you feel good. Your opinion about yourself is what matters, so go out, treat the world as your runway and wear what makes you feel good.

Have a fab day my lovelies!

I Failed Project 333, And That’s Ok.

I Failed Project 333, And That’s Ok.

Cute Outfit Flatlay

Happy Saturday my lovelies! Can you believe we’re in September? It’s finally spooky season! As someone who loves Autumn and Winter, I can’t wait for Halloween and then Christmas, and the weather to get chillier. It’s this time of year when everyone starts to put away their Summer clothes and pull out their cosy jumpers and ankle boots.

And that leads me onto today’s post; as you may know, over the last few months I’ve been doing a sort of fashion challenge – project 333, and for the first 1 3/4 months it went great. And then, I sort of fell off of the project 333 wagon. But you know what, that’s ok.

I think part of the reason why I struggled to keep up with the project was because I hadn’t thought about how long 3 months really is, and in what 3 months I would actually have to keep my 33 items and the project going for. And what I’d completely forgotten was that Autumn would begin half way through the project. Which meant that my wardrobe of choice probably wouldn’t be suitable for the change in temperature.

Another reason why I failed the project was because I went on a bit of a shopping binge. You see, over the last few weeks I’ve really been thinking about the clothes I love and the style that I love to wear, and to tell you the truth I caved and went on a shopping spree and picked up a few new t-shirts, jeans, cardigans, jumpers and basically anything I loved that would fit with the aesthetic I love.

So yeah, I failed project 333, but that’s ok; because I learnt a lot from the project not only about the importance of trying to avoid fast fashion and being more conscious with clothes waste but also about my own sense of style and what makes me feel good. When I go shopping I try and stick to brands who are more eco conscious and have values I believe in.

What I have decided to do now, is donate the clothes that I don’t wear anymore, and put together a condensed capsule wardrobe of sorts with around 40 pieces of clothes and about 5 pairs of shoes. When I pick up anything new I give myself the task of thinking of at least 5 different outfits I can make with it before deciding if it’s something that is worth buying, so I’m not picking up one-wear-wonders.

So, what does my wardrobe contain now?

Well, I have a selection of t-shirts (I’ve been loving tying tee’s up with high waisted skirts and jeans), mom jeans (with one pair I have personalised with fabric markers, you can see them in the photo above), jumpers, cardigans and skirts.

Here’s some pieces from my updated wardrobe:

It’s funny looking back over the last few weeks at what’s changed and what hasn’t, one of the biggest changes being how much my hair has grown and that I’ve dyed it a dark auburn colour! Here’s a rough run down of what my entire wardrobe entails now:

Updated Wardrobe

And those are all of the items in my new wardrobe! There’s a few more classic items like a few more vest tops and black and white tshirts, but that’s about it for what I’ve got. I’ve also included my black military boots, some brown ankle boots, two pairs of platform trainers, black flats and a pair of white converse.

All that’s left is to find a dress that I like and feel comfortable in for lots of different occasions and I think that’ll be everything I need in my wardrobe. Another thing I’ve found a love for is gold jewellery and headbands. Headbands in particular at the moment because my hair is growing out and is in between styles, and these have been super helpful in helping me tame it a bit.

Even though I changed my capsule wardrobe from my project 333 one, looking back I still like all of the outfits I made with that wardrobe, but I feel a lot more happy with my updated one. I think my favourite items are the mom jeans, my personalised mom jeans, camel cardigan, printed t-shirts and my grey halter-neck waistcoat top.

Although I didn’t manage my three months with my 33 items, I don’t see it as a complete failure, because at the end of the day I found out what I do and don’t like to wear, which is one of the main goals of the project, so in some ways, the project was actually a success? I’m looking forward to seeing how my wardrobe evolves over the next few months, and if I can find a dress I feel comfortable and happy in. I think my new goal for my capsule wardrobe of sorts is to stay under 50 pieces in total, and not have many items I rarely wear.

And that’s about it for today! What’re your favourite pieces from your wardrobe? Let me know in the comments! I always love replying to you and seeing what you’re up to. And don’t forget you can always keep in touch and up to date with what I’m up to over on my instagram @theweightofmyworlds and on my pinterest also @theweightofmyworlds!

Stay safe my lovelies and have a great weekend! Love,

Month 1 Of Project 333.

Month 1 Of Project 333.

Happy Saturday my lovelies! We’re in August! And it feels like the world is slowly going back to normal at last. Over the last month I’ve been trying to be more conscious about my environmental footprint, in particular my fast fashion waste. So, at the beginning of July I started project 333.

Project 333 is a minimalist sort of challenge which involves having 33 items in your wardrobe including clothes, shoes, jewellery and bags and you’re only allowed to wear those items for the next 3 months. The project is supposed to help you minimize your wardrobe, reduce the stress of getting dressed in the morning and help reduce fast fashion waste. Now, because I love fashion so much, I decided to take on this project but only with clothes and shoes, I love earrings too much to count those in my 33!

Since it’s already been a month doing project 333, I thought I’d share some of my outfits that I wore this month!

And those are just a few of my outfits I’ve worn over the last month!

I won’t lie to you, I did end up with one or two new items. But you know what? I’m human! And that’s ok. The 4 new items I got were two tops I forgot I ordered about a month before the beginning of the project that ended up coming from abroad about 3 weeks in and then a pair of super cool patterned leggings from a small business that I had been wanting for ages that finally came back in stock and then a coca cola t-shirt that I simply couldn’t pass up. And as someone who used to buy way over 4 new items a month, that’s pretty darn good if I say so myself.

What was week 1 like?

For the first week I immediately felt stress free when it came to getting dressed in the morning, and I was super excited when choosing what I wanted to wear for the day because I liked everything in my wardrobe! Every outfit I put on was comfy and I actually felt more productive when working from home because I was dressed nicely!

Week 2?

Month1 Project 333

I was still enjoying the project during week 2, and I continued to wear loads of outfits I loved and hadn’t thought to put together before! It was this week where I ordered the cute leggings (from Lucy and Yak if you’re wondering!) you can see above! This week I started wearing shoes I wouldn’t have normally paired with certain outfits before and found that I loved these new looks!

Week 3 thoughts?

By week 3 I was still enjoying wear my wardrobe, but there were one or two items I noticed I wasn’t wearing for some reason. I tried switching a few things up and wore one of the items but found I wasn’t as comfortable so decided that I would switch out those items at the end of month 1 if I still wasn’t wearing them. I was also given a dress that was my grannies so I wore that to a family bbq! It was free so I don’t count that as breaking my challenge! I did break my shoe rule by wearing a brown pair of boots I didn’t plan on wearing for the project but it looked cute and it was only twice because they were comfy for walking.

The end of month 1?

I still like pretty much everything in my wardrobe, it’s just the one or two items that I haven’t worn that I’ll probably switch out soon, and that’s only a few items. After a month, I’ve realised that I don’t actually miss my old wardrobe that much, and I’ve only thought about one pair of trousers and a skirt from it this entire month. And since I’m possibly switching out one or two items, I might just add them in.

So, what have I learnt so far?

You can make a hell of a lot of outfits from just 33 items!! And as long as you pick out pieces that are versatile that you love, you can’t go wrong! After a while things can become a little stagnant if you don’t think of creative ways to wear your clothes, so remember to think differently when picking out your look for the day! Also, don’t beat yourself up if you do buy something new and forget you’ve set yourself a 33 limit!

I can’t wait to see what the next month will bring in the form of outfits! What’s your favourite outfit from this month? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a great weekend my lovelies!

Gifts Mums Actually Want.

Gifts Mums Actually Want.

Hello my lovelies! I hope you’re having a good week and have managed to block the news from your minds for at least 10 minutes today; and if you haven’t, well.. I’m giving you permission to shut it off now. There will be no talk of coronavirus on here thank you very much! This is a space for positivity and love!

So, I wonder what today’s post is going to be.. it’s pretty easy to guess with it being the middle of March. This week I’ve put together a list of mother’s day gifts that mums, moms and mams will actually want.

Some of you may be thinking, how do you know that they’ll actually want as a gift!? Well, I went ahead and asked them so you don’t have to.

And with that, let’s get into it!

1 . A Lay In.

2 . A DIY Gift.

3 . A Big Bubble Bath.

4 . Not having to do any housework, cooking or any form of task they would normally dread doing.

5 . The kids school uniforms already washed and ready for the monday.

6 . A proper breakfast in bed or to be taken out for breakfast.

7 . Flowers.

8 . Their favourite sweets, treats or chocolate.

9 . Wine, beer or spirits.

10 . A nice home cooked meal.

11 . A lazy day.

12 . A spa day.

13 . A new book.

14 . A takeaway of their choice.

15 . A guilt free day (where they can eat, drink and do what they want).

16 . Having the dishwasher done for them without asking!

17 . A subscription to their favourite magazines or box service.

18 . A Sunday dinner cooked for them.

19 . Do the food shop for her.

20 . A long walk to the pub.

And there you have it! That’s 20 ideas for Mother’s day gifts, all given from mums, so you know what they actually want. What are your plans for Mother’s day? Let me know in the comments! Plus, if you need even more ideas, you can check out my Mother’s day posts from a year or two ago!

Day to Night Looks.

Day to Night Looks.

Happy Saturday my lovelies! How’re you doing today? It’s been a busy week for me here, I’ve been working away like mad on all sorts of projects; from working for the SUN Network, doing freelance work, painting and going out to meet up with friends!

And that brings me onto today’s post. Day to night looks! Since I’ve been so busy, I’ve been trying to maximise what I can do with some of my outfits to make them transformable from day to night time with just a few tweaks.

So, let’s get into it!

Day to Night Graphic Tee Look

1 . The graphic tee.

I just love a graphic tee and jeans combo, I think these are great for casual days out and about with trainers and a handbag with minimal jewellery; and then all you have to do in the evening is swap your trainers for some heels (or swap up your shoes to whatever you want, you do you) and put a clutch and a cool pair of earrings on with a blazer or leather jacket and you’re good to go!

Day to Night LBD Look

2 . The classic, little black dress.

Nearly all of us have a little black dress right? Well I love pairing a LBD with a white long sleeve tee or jumper, tights and boots for an edgy grunge day look; and then for the evening I would get rid of the top underneath, put on some heels and a suede jacket with a clutch and you’re ready for date night!

Day to Night Mom Jeans Look

3 . Bold and fun mom jeans looks.

You know I love a bright and fun look, and that’s exactly what we’ve got here, plus, they feature my favourite colour – yellow! To be honest I think both of these outfits look great day and night, but maybe that’s just because I love these outfits so so much. I love a mom jean look, so pairing some mom jeans with a cute black top, patterned trainers and a bold bag is perfect. Then all I did was switch the bag to this awesome banana cartoon bag I saw online, added some cute cherry earrings and some bright yellow heels and we’ve got a great night look with tonnes of personality!

Day to Night Denim Skirt Look

4 . Denim skirts and bodysuits.

These are similar to the looks before because I think both of these work great for day and night, but if you’re going for a day look, I’d recommend the look on the left because it’s got more comfortable and warm shoes! These looks will also worth for most skirts that are in your wardrobe, that or even pair these with jeans! I love tops tucked into skirts or jeans, so a bodysuit is the way to go so you haven’t got to keep tucking it in!

Day to Night LRD Look

5 . Finally we have the little red dress.

Recently I’ve been loving the effortless summery dress with trainers look for days out, and they’re great with tights when the weather is a bit colder. For the night look I like how a quick switch of shoes can bring this look from casual day to date night in seconds.

And those are my day to night looks!

I love day to night looks because they make me feel confident, ready for anything they day has to offer, and they’re great for when you’re going on a trip somewhere and haven’t got a huge amount of clothing space! Do I sense a capsule wardrobe vibe?

Trying to decide on which outfit(s) is my favourite was hard because they’re all so cute but if I had to decide I think it’d have to be the mom jeans look, purely for the fact that I love quirky accessories and who doesn’t love being comfy day and night in jeans!

What’s your go-to day to night outfit? Let me know in the comments!

Have a great weekend my lovelies!

Styling Mom Jeans.

Styling Mom Jeans.

Hello and Happy New Year my lovelies!! Can you believe we’re in another decade again?! Where has the time gone! Speaking of decades, it always amazes me how fashion from previous decades manages to come round again and again. One particular piece of fashion I love is mom jeans.

In my opinion they look great on all shapes and sizes and can be pretty versatile too. Which is why today I decided to show you how I like to style mom jeans!

So, onto the outfits!

Mom Jeans Outfit

1 . Date night! You can’t go wrong pairing any jeans with a pair of heels and a blazer, it’s the perfect way to dress up any outfit from day to night. And in my opinion it’s always a classy sophisticated look!

I love how this outfit can be dressed down by pairing everything with tanned loafers or flats of any colours and a bag!

Mom Jeans Outfit

2 . Smart Casual. I love this outfit for everyday wear, you can’t see them too well in my snaps by I’ve paired this floral top with pink slip ons to go with my bag. It feels very much like a Spring outfit to me, but to be honest, I wear this all year round with layers in the cold seasons!

Mom Jeans Outfit

Plus, who doesn’t love a good floral number and cute comfy shoes?!

Mom Jeans Outfit

3 . Comfy Cosy Casual. This outfit is perfect for a cinema date or just going out for the day. A cosy jumper and jeans combo is a staple you just have to have in you wardrobe for the cooler days and months. I personally like to accessorise this simple outfit with bold accessories to bring a bit of me to it!

Mom Jeans Outfit

I wish I had those Coca-Cola earrings and popcorn bag, but I have to admit, I do love my bubblegum machine earrings just as much!

Mom Jeans Outfit

4 . Classic and Simple. We’ve all got a simple white or black tee in our wardrobes somewhere, and even if we haven’t, you can get them super cheap in most clothes shops! I like pairing this with a simple cross-body bag and trainers or you can tie a tartan or checkered shirt around your waist to tie the look together!

Mom Jeans Outfit

Bonus points if you’ve got a huge oversized tartan shirt, those things can act as blankets when you got cold!

5 . Little Red Accents. What colour truly speaks date night other than bright red. Unfortunately I couldn’t find my red cami top to show you my look but I have got the outfit below for you to check out! This look is so chic and always looks effortless and sexy. Perfect for a date night or girls night!

Mom Jeans Outfit

And those are how I like to style mom jeans! I always feel good when I put an outfit together with these, and they are so comfy! It’s easy to just chuck on with a t-shirt with these and look chic, and will be a staple in my wardrobe for 2020 for sure!

How do you like to style mom jeans? And what’s your favourite look from these? Let me know in the comments!

Well, that’s all from me for today! See you next week lovelies! I hope you had a great start to the year so far!

And of course for Christmas day you can have your elf with your presents! I love Christmas for so many reasons, food, family, feeling the festive spirits, the aesthetics and of course the memories.

Some people aren’t a fan of parts of Christmas like doing the elf of the shelf, but one reason why I love it is because it creates great memories for kids! They get to wake up each day seeing their elf doing something funny in the lead up to Christmas day and all of the people helping the elves get into position get to have a giggle doing it too!

Having Confidence To Be Yourself.

Having Confidence To Be Yourself.

Hello my lovelies! I hope you had a good week! This week has been super busy as usual, but I did manage to have a little time to see my sister, niece and nephew! And with seeing them, my sister brought me some funky new earrings that I absolutely adore. Which leads me to today’s post, having confidence to be yourself, no matter what others think.

Lucy and Yaks Dungarees

So, this week I decided to talk to you about confidence. Specifically in having confidence in being yourself regardless of other people’s opinions.

For me, I can remember being tiny and having absolutely zero self-esteem issues and having complete confidence in myself and giving no fucks. And I can also remember when I began giving all of the fucks to what people thought about me and my appearance.

Sadly that day came in primary school when all of the year 6 girls (myself included) got to wear their Brownie uniforms to school. I had no care in the world about how I looked, I was just happy I got to wear something other than my usual uniform; and then came a comment from one of the kids in my class, it was something along the lines of: “why are you wearing those pants? You look stupid”.

And poof. Insecurities as far as the eyes could see.

Several years of bullying throughout school later, all I wanted was to fit in. And then a few years working in two different jobs types, and spending some time working on myself away from negative people.

dungarees balloon sleeve top

As time went on, my confidence has grown quite a lot, and I think that is partly due to ‘The Weight Of My Worlds’! I say partly but I think that’s actually a huge factor for me.

Something just clicked in me one day and I decided that from then on I was going to be completely apologetically myself. Regardless of what other people think, because someone who’s worth spending your time with will only lift you up and not put you down.

My tips for building confidence in yourself are:

  1. Looking at yourself in the mirror, as you are, without makeup, without fancy clothes, just as you are. Get used to you and your appearance.
  2. Don’t be afraid to be weird when you’re by yourself, be as weird as you want to be by yourself so much so that when you’re with your loved ones you start being yourself more because you’re more comfortable with yourself.
  3. Fake it til you make it! I love this phrase because it’s something that I’ve done for a long time and it definitely helped me in my early days trying to build my confidence. It’s also a good one for anxiety!
  4. Wear whatever you want to. Wanna wear a skirt? Wear a skirt. Wanna wear a suit? Wear a suit. Wanna wear crazy patterns. Wear em. Wear what makes you happy!
  5. Do a complete detox. Anything that doesn’t make you feel good, get rid! Social media was a big one for me, so I unfollowed all of the accounts that made me feel bad about myself and followed loads of positive ones that made me feel good.

So, what’re some things that I do now that I wouldn’t before?

Well, for a start, I now don’t care about what people think of my appearance or personality anymore; because I am me and guess what? I’m pretty great as I am.

How else do I know I’m more confident than before? Well, I would never pose or do photoshoots where other people could see me, and now I am not afraid to strike a pose in public!

Gumball earrings

Another thing that’s changed is that I’m not afraid to wear whatever wacky, weird and quirky things I want. At the moment I’m really into crazy shoes and jewellery! My sister gave me these awesome gumball machine earrings that I can’t get enough of!

So, that’s a bit about how my confidence has gone through ups and downs and ups again and how I have improved my confidence! Have you got any tips and tricks that make you feel more confident? Let me know in the comments!

And remember, you are perfect just as you are. Be apologetically yourself because you’re incredible! Be bright, be bold, be you!

Have a great weekend my lovelies!

Easy Halloween Brownies And Pumpkins.

Easy Halloween Brownies And Pumpkins.

Hello my lovelies! How’s your week been? We’re slowly getting further into October which means we’re beginning to see Halloween decorations everywhere! And it feels like we’ve got ages until it’s actually Halloween, but just like Christmas it’ll creep up on us and before we know it, it’ll be here.

So, I decided I’d show you some quick and easy Halloween decorations, in the form of pumpkin carving and some yummy brownies! And to prove these are actually quick and easy, I did these in the space of 4 hours!

First up we’ve got the brownies. These are something anyone can do when you’re short on time and they’re really easy to do with kids. You can make them from scratch, or just use a box mix from Tesco like I did; it saves time and money! After baking them, the decoration was simple, some melted white chocolate, a bit of chocolate buttercream and decorations you can pick up with the box mix!

One thing I did with my brownies is add some orange zest and extract to give them something a bit extra. Here’s what they look like, basically, just chuck a load of spooky decorations onto the brownies and you’re good to go!

Here’s how I decorated them!

Now, onto the pumpkins!

These were super easy to make; you can do the classic face, cute face or you can use a stencil to do a more intricate design! And of course since stencilling makes it easier to do more complicated designs, I had to do my teacup!

And guess what, I’ve included two stencils for you to download and try for yourself!

Cute huh? Who said Halloween had to be scary anyway?! Here’s how the octopus looks carved!

Octopus Pumpkin

Another very quick way to jazz up your pumpkin is by adding costume accessories to them! Here I added a day of the dead hat and mask and used a melon baller to create eye’s. Top tip, for scooping out the middle of the pumpkin after getting rid of the seeds, I’d definitely recommend a melon baller, I found it surprisingly easier than a spoon! And it’s great for getting perfectly circular eyes!

And voila! You’ve got yourself some cool pumpkins that’ll impress and some yummy spooky brownies! What’s your favourite way to decorate pumpkins? Last year I painted mine! (You can take a look at them here.) Let me know in the comments!

Have a great rest of your weekend my lovelies!

Harry Potter Inspired Outfits.

Harry Potter Inspired Outfits.

Hello my lovelies! I can’t believe we’re at the end of August already. Not that I’m complaining, I prefer the colder weather! This week I’ve started re-watching all of the Harry Potter films again for the millionth time, and I then started thinking about how we’re nearly in Autumn and can start wearing cosy comfy clothes once again.

Which led me to start thinking about all of the cute outfits I can make with what I’ve already got in my wardrobe and since I’m a Potterhead, I decided to make up some Hogwarts Houses inspired outfits.

So, what did I come up with?

1 . First up, Griffindor!

Griffindor outfit

For Griffindor, I’d go with anything burgundy, red and other warm tones. I put together a patterned skirt, black tee, oversized grandad cardigan with Harry Potter converse, a golden snitch bracelet, dealthy hallows necklace and lightning bolt hoop earrings. I love this outfit, and that cardigan was actually my grandads and it’s the comfiest thing ever!

2 . Hufflepuff!

Hufflepuff outfit

Yellow, yellow and more yellow! This outfit is so cute! You can’t go wrong with yellow and golden tones paired with denim. Here I’ve put together a yellow tee, mustard denim jacket, a light wash denim skirt, tan chelsea boots with a gold locket and small hoop earrings.

3 . Ravenclaw!

Ravenclaw outfit

This one made me realise I haven’t got many blue tops but I have got hundreds of pairs of blue jeans. For this one you can wear whatever you want, as long as it’s blue! I paired my white tee that I embroidered with Hogwarts with blue mom jeans, my denim jacket with some comfy dc trainers and silver hoop earrings. Cute and comfy.

4 . Slytherin.

Slytherin outfit

I love this outfit because I love these boots that I picked up at Tk Maxx and how cute the pinafore jumper combo is. All you need is green and black for Slytherin! Here I’ve paired a bottle green jumper, black pinafore and black biker boots with green earrings and clutch bag.

And here’s a bonus outfit if you already have some Harry Potter clothes!

Griffindor Jumper Outfit

In case you couldn’t guess, I’m a Griffindor! I picked all of these HP branded items from Primark! Not sponsored but you can’t go wrong with a bargain!

So those are some Hogwarts House inspired outfits you can easily make with what you have in your wardrobe! What’s your favourite Harry Potter film? And what’s your Hogwarts House?
